A Lovely Ballpark
Our first trip to Harbor Park was a packed experience when we arrived around 6:30. Traffic was very busy, causing delays getting in, but once in the parking area, things weren't too bad. There aren't marked off areas for parking, so be cautious not to get blocked in.
Impressed by the size and condition of the park, we found plenty of food options and concession stands once inside. We sat on the Sox side in section 109, surrounded by a mix of Tower Of Power and Sox fans, creating a lively atmosphere.
The only issue arose at the concession stand near our seats, where we waited for food for 2 1/2 innings. The organization was lacking, and the food was disappointing. However, the fried s'mores and fried snickers were a hit.
Throughout the game, we enjoyed the activities offered, the clean seats, and the well-cared-for area. Both teams interacted with fans, offering autographs and throwing balls.
The outstanding fireworks that night were better than many 4th of July displays we've seen. Exiting the park was effortless, despite the earlier congestion at the concessions.
Overall, it's a great park that perhaps was not fully prepared for the high turnout at this game, especially in terms of concession staffing. I recommend eating before going to the park next time, although leaving room for fried Snickers is a must. :-)
